I met the God Squad and saw their Ministry to Men for the first time at their Men’s Conference 2022, helping out with confessions. It is always great to see a good group of good men, normal men, who climb upwards, striving to love God and their Faith.
We had wanted to start a Men’s group in Ascension Parish, and at the Men’s God Squad Conference one of the men felt the same need, and ended up helping the organizers. In the end, we were able to set up a Saturday Morning “That Man is You” Group (there too, the God Squad helped out, not just on a spiritual level but on a very real level, preparing the first breakfast for the men!).
Outreach to the men of our diocese: that is an awesome mission.

I first became acquainted with Sean Lynn and The God Squad in the 1990’s. I was impressed with the ministry of the God Squad then, and my respect for them has only grown. The growth of The God Squad is an excellent example of how the Kingdom of God grows; starting as a Mustard Seed, it grows to the point where the birds have a place to rest.
Over the years, Sean has led the God Squad from a seedling of an idea to now the most influential Men’s Ministry in Canada. He has worked tirelessly and selflessly to bring Jesus Christ to men in North America; it would be hard to find a faithful Catholic man in Canada who has not been influenced by the work Sean has done.
When I speak to young men who are interested in starting some outreach, I usually tell them of the example of Sean Lynn and the growth of The God Squad. If people are looking for a fruitful, faithful ministry to support or work with, it’s The God Squad!

I have been involved with God Squad Canada for many years as a priest but also before that time as well. God Squad desires to bring men together to be able to form them well in their catholic faith through the intercession of St Joseph but it also seems to build fraternity and brotherhood among men too.
